Rarely is fooled and has great discipline. When it comes to blitzing Dean is ELITE, has a great burst and slips to the open gaps looking to finish with a sack or QB hit. Excelles in pass coverage. Comfortable dropping in zone and rarely seems lost. Understands how to slide with plays while reading the QB’s eyes. Can play man to man against RB’s and TE’s, tape showed him lining up on the outside as well. Run defense is his biggest problem. Tape shows he doesn’t have the long speed to beat a speedy back to the sideline. His size may lead to problems, tends to get swallowed by blockers. Also, he will miss tackles from time to time.
