Below average size (6’0 220lb). Willis might have the best arm in this draft class and it shows on tape. Smooth delivery. Tape shows underrated accuracy has a feel to hit WRs in stride. Capable runner with good vision to find running lanes on design runs. Has the strength to power through tackles for extra yards. Shifty in the open field and evading sacks. Shows good burst and speed may test in 4.4-4.5’s at the combine. Willis biggest problem is inconsistent mechanics which leads to poor bouts of inaccuracy. Tape shows he’ll try to muscle throws with his arm instead of using low body. Slow to get through progressions and that lead to more sacks than should’ve taken. Also, tends to play “hero ball” more than you’ll like, would rather him throw the ball away. Small school QB leads to concern how he’ll translate to the NFL. Malik willis is a raw prospect, but has a chance to be the best QB in this draft class. He has all tools the NFL is looking for but coaching and patience is key.
