Ideal size for the position (6’3 217lb). 5th year senior and played like it with his poise. Understood the offense he was in and could go through progressions quickly. Good arm strength not great but can make all the throws. “Rhythm thrower”. Accuracy is the best part of his game, tape showed him giving the ball to his WRs stride on medium to short passes. His Mechanics are clean and consistent. Good mobility with the ability to pick up first downs. Pickett isn’t a flawless prospect though. His arm strength is good, but tape showed he struggled powering throws deep and on the run. When you get him off his mark with pressure, his accuracy goes down. Can get stuck on WRs and will stare down routes. Lastly, Pickett will be 24 years old when the season starts, so there is concern whether he’s reached his ceiling already. Kenny Pickett is QB1 mostly due to being a safe pick and being the most NFL ready. Reminds me of a more mobile Andy Dalton coming out, but I see a Kirk Cousins impact.
