Amazing turnaround from 2019 to 2021. He always possessed the raw power to do the type of damage he did between AA/AAA but the improved bat to ball ability was the most stunning change. Clear swing adjustments, hands lower, more open stance, more relaxed approach led to much better pitch recognition. He has the athleticism, hands and raw arm strength to be a quality defensive backstop and I think the bat is for real going forward. With Perez in KC he may have to find another spot to play in the short-term, 3B may be an option. Long-term he has all-star upside as a C.
