Players Position: Right Handed Starter (Pitcher) (RHS)
League: Major League (Pro)
Team: Atlanta Braves
Location:  Atlanta, GA, US

Overall Grade   A+ Elite, highest level MLB player
Right Handed Starter (Pitcher)

Hall of Famer Greg Maddux has many astounding stats that solidify his spot in Cooperstown. 17 straight seasons with at least 15 victories, the longest streak by any pitcher in Major's history. 8 trips to the All-Star Game. 18 golden gloves - 2 more than any other player since the awards inception(1957). 8th winning-est pitcher in MLB history (355 and only 227 losses). Like fine wine, Maddux got better with time - catching full stride as he progressed in his career, hitting peak in the mid 90s. As his velocity faded - his command and control kept batters swinging. With his walk low(1.8 per 9) and minimal home runs (0.6/9) most batters ended up sitting. A good curve and great change up kept him active/dominating late. Though a report filed in 1985 said 'not strong enough to be a starter', Maddux is an Easy A+ and has a seat in the Hall.
