Nothing. This is totally ridiculous. Both teams were using the same balls, correct? If the Colts had a problem during the game they should have questioned it then. It should have been on the Colts to call it out. But to go back, post-game, and re-inspect the balls... give me a break. Just think about how ridiculous it will sound if the SuperBowl winning coach is suspended for deflated balls.
Each team plays with it's own balls during the game. Indy had firmer balls. The Patriots had softer balls. The Colts did question it before halftime and that's how this all got started.
Speedman is right. Each team uses their own 12 footballs. All 12 New England footballs tested below official PSI. 11 were over 2 pounds per square inch underinflated. The Colts began to question things in the 2nd quarter after an interception. All 12 Colts balls tested the same for PSI pressure before and after game. Someone obviously deflated for NE after pre game inspection by officials.
Shows how much I care about that crappy league. Still doesn't change my opinion. Nothing should happen. It's ridiculous to consider serious punishment over this. NFL must love it, it's taking away from the real stories, which are Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, Head Injuries, DUI, Vehicular Manslaughter, Player Pensions, Player $@!#%, Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, $@!#%, etc...
